Anger is a reflection of inability or dissatisfaction. Anger is best controlled if the cause of anger is well understood.

Anger Can Lead To Abuse
When anger reaches a heightened intensity, anger transforms to fury. Fury is one of deadliest reactions. Humans tend to develop fury when they trust that they are disrespected or when they are treated unjustly.
Factors affecting Anger
• Fatigue
• Pain
• Alcohol and Drugs.
Effects of Anger
• Depression
• Loss or Reduced Ability to Comprehend Logic
• Increased Physical Strength and Courage
• Violence.
Tips on Managing Anger
• Try to forgive, remember what they sow they reap. Do not take pains to correct or teach others any lesson.
• You cannot do anything about things that are beyond your control. So, do not get angry over things, which is simply not under your control.
• Any deed is completed in a second, if you keep brooding over it, you will have pain and anger for a life time. Do not brood over things. Let is pass by.
• Expressing your anger occasionally is a real need, your body requires an outlet to have your anger let go.
• Have a friend to whom you can complain things to.
Commit to Change and Manage Anger:
Basic tips and advice to help you be comfortable with your anger are:
• Know what you are angry at
• Past is past, let them go
• Respond to facts, but do not re-act to the deed you did not like.
• Forgive and try to forget, if you can’t, then just forgive for now

Anger is a complicated emotion to deal with; however, it becomes difficult to dealt with it if you are not ready to accept that you are angry. Acknowledge you are angry and declare you are angry, that kills half the monster, the rest automates. Take time to laugh about things you were angry about, laugh out loud.
Early Warning Signs and Your Triggers
• Know when you are about to get angry
• How tense are you
• Teeth gritting is gritty
• When angry, the face becomes flushed
• Hands are clenched
• Voice becomes loud.
How to control Anger
• Take time out to relax and unwind from anger
• Wash it all off- Everyone, be it kids or adults would find the effect of taking a warm bath soothing to the senses.
• Walk and walk and walk- Kids or adults could very easily do this to help ward off any intense feelings of anger.
• Get a massage, and get a good one- Adults would benefit much from this activity when they are frustrated.
• Determine the cause
• Relax your way through anger- The way to relax, lessen caffeine
• Visualize your self away from anger
When to Seek Professional Help:
If you have tried all the above methods and perhaps other tips to control your anger and you are still not feeling better a bit of professional intervention becomes necessary.
Seek professional help if you:
• Have suicidal or homicidal ideations
• Seem to throw and break things too often
• Bad tempered leading to legal litigation
• Revenge and uncontrollable hatred
• You are not sure of what you are blurting out in anger.
• Experience headaches and you get depressed when you are angry.
• Tend to smoke or drink to curb anger.
• Hinders peace of mind in your family and at work place.
Anger is not something to be ashamed of, nor should you feel bad about getting counseled for it. Even if you feel a bit shy, seek counseling and you will feel happy about it later on.
